Phenotypeca to start research in the Synthetic Biology Research Centre at the University of Nottingham’s Biodiscovery Institute

Dr Chris Finnis, Research Director of Phenotypeca Ltd and Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence secures agreement with the University of Nottingham’s Biodiscovery Institute to carry out research and contract work in baker’s yeast biodiversity in their Synthetic Biology Research Centre.  This is an important milestone in the academic industry collaboration to translate the world-leading research of Professor Ed Louis (initially performed at the University of Nottingham and published in the scientific journal Nature in 2009, and later continued at the University of Leicester) into an industrial process.
