Phenotypeca expands team with the appointment of Dr Emanuele Kendrick at its facilities at the University of Nottingham

Dr Emanuele Kendrick is a molecular biologist with eight years of experience working on projects both for recombinant protein production and 2nd generation bioethanol production in yeast.  His application of techniques includes targeted gene knock-ins/outs, CRISPR-Cas gene editing and adaptive laboratory evolution to engineer strains of yeast with novel metabolic pathways to improve their growth and fermentation characteristics.  Emanuele will be responsible for yeast strain development, breeding and selection by flow cytometry and robotics screening at Phenotypeca’s facilities in the Synthetic Biology Research Centre at the University of Nottingham.
